Photodetector-Based Material from a Highly Sensitive Free-Standing Graphene Oxide/Polypyrrole Nanocomposite

This paper describes the establishment of free-standing rolled graphene oxide (roll-GO) and polypyrrole (Ppy) using a modified Hummer method oxidative polymerization. Then, photodetector was created by removing thin film from filter attaching it to tape. The chemical structure roll-GO confirmed XRD FTIR analysis, while SEM TEM showed that in nature. material had small bandgap 2.4 eV high current density light conditions. responded well monochromatic light, with Jph values changing 0.027 0.019 mA/cm2 as wavelengths decreased 340 730 nm. photoresponsivity (R) detectivity (D) were high, at nm (0.27 mA/W 6.0 × 107 Jones, respectively) (0.19 4.25 respectively). addition Ppy improved these parameters, Ppy/roll-GO/tape photoelectrode showing excellent R D 0.33 7.34 respectively. Furthermore, production photocurrent V = 0 indicated Ppy/roll-GO layer could be used for solar cell applications.
